Kenya and Ethiopia

The rest of the time in Kenya was good at Tsavo we got to see some Elephants taking a bath while we ate dinner at the lodge was really nice. We then had a long drive to Lake Nakuru where we got to see some White Rhino - unfortunately no black ones but at least some. We then spent the night at Lake Navisha Sopa Lodge which was really nice, we had to get a security escort after dark as there were hippos which was vewry cool. We then had 2 nights in Mara Game Reserve at a Tented Camp which was vewry nice. We also met a few other Aussies there, as there was a big group from the Tweed Valley area and then we also met another couple from Castlemain, Victoria. While in Mara the highlights were seeing some cheetahs quite close including a preganeny female, we also saw a male lion eating a wildebeast and the also seeing a 3-4 week old elephant.
We are now in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and we have had a couple of not so busy days which was very good, yesterday we visited the 2 western hotels in town - Hilton and Sheraton Hotels, they were both very impressive inside, very expensive to stay at though.
Today we had the first real day of our tour - we did a city tour which was very good, we visited 1 church, the National Museum which is home to the oldest human bones ever found. Tomorrow we leave at 5:30am for the Airport as we are off to see Blue Nile Falls and Lake Tana. The group we are travelling with is a mix of Aussies, Brits and Americans. I(Gaby) am the only female on the tour so it feels a bit wierd at the moment, as there are 5 other tourist, plus the tour leader.
