Cape Town Area

Well we have just had over 1 week in the Cape Town area. We visited the Cape Winelands region - Stellenboch, Paarl and Franchoek which was quite enjoyable we visited 4 wineries and tasted over 20 different wines, we went on a bus tour to do this which was enjoyable.
We then spent last weekend visiting our friends, James and Ali who are studying at bible college in cape town. Unfortunately Ali was so sick we were unable to catch up with her, however we had a good time chatting to her on the phone. We did however spend Saturday Afternoon with James visiting Cape Point and doing a tour of the point, including Boulders Beach to see the penjuins. On Sunday we went to church with James which was really enjoyable. James then took us on a tour of Muizenburg which was good. James is in the middle of his exams so we let him study for the afternoon on Sunday.
On Monday we headed to Wilderness on the Garden Route via Stoney Point, where we saw some more penguins; Hermanus, where we saw some whales in the bay; Cape Agulus, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans met and the Southern most point in Africa. In Wilderness we did some hiking and also took a trip to Kynsna.
We then headed to Outshoorn where we visited an Ostritch farm and the Kango caves which was really good, we then headed back to Cape town where we visited Robben Island which was very moving.
Today we have joined our Drifters tour, this afternoon we have visited another winery in Stellenboch, tomorrow we have a day in Cape town and then we are off to Namibia, Botswana, Victoria Falls and Zimbabwe.
