We have arrived at camp

We arrived at camp on Friday after spending all day travelling. We left Alaska at 2:40am in the morning and then finally arrived in Maryland at 9:40pm. We lost 4 hours in time zone changes, had 3 flights and spend a few hours in airports.

Dave is currently busy with training and I am working with 2 other girls doing various odd jobs to get stuff ready for camp. We have been packing various bags, painting boards and helping prepare meals.

Camp is well organised and after mountain trails seems very large as there is 250 staff and 1200 campers. At the moment there are about 50 staff around and we have been getting to know lots of people. We are staying in a 1 bedroom apartment in a block of 6 flats owned by camp, which is nice to have a bit of our own space.

We would appreciate prayer for getting to know people that we be able to build strong relationships with people around us. Please pray for safety for us, especially as I head out on a 3 day hike next week with the other staff from the wilderness program which I will be working on.

Greetings to all especially to the 2 birthday celebratees - Jacqui, Happy 21st Birthday and Pa, Happy 80th Birthday.

Lots of Love - Gaby
